mokykla statusas T sritis švietimas apibrėžtis 1) Įstaiga, kurios pagrindinė veikla – formalusis ir (arba) neformalusis švietimas; 2) Specialiai organizuota augančiosios kartos planingo ir metodiško mokymo ir auklėjimo įstaiga; 3) Mokslo, technikos, meno, pedagogikos ir kt. kryptis, kuriai pradžią duoda vienas žmogus, o vėliau ją plėtoja pasekėjai, pvz., I. Niutono, I. Pavlovo, P. Pikaso, J. H. Pestalocio ir kt. mokyklos, matematikos, pedagogikos, psichologijos mokyklos. Visais laikais stengiamasi atsakyti į klausimą, kokia turi būti mokykla. Nesitenkinama nurodymu, kad joje planingai, nuosekliai, metodiškai mokoma, – keliami mokytojų ir mokinių santykių, bendros darbo atmosferos, mokymo tikslų, turinio ir organizacijos reikalavimai, teigiama, kad reikia atsižvelgti į istorinę situaciją, mokinių interesus, gabumus. Šimtmečiais šie klausimai buvo dėmesio centre, formavosi skirtingos mokymo sistemos, kurios siekė sukurti mokyklos esmės ir paskirties sampratą. atitikmenys: angl. school vok. Schule rus. школа
